Breast Cancer Awareness and Mental Health Support were the main focus of an event organized by GOPIO Bahrain in partnership with American Mission Hospital in Manama. The event, held on October 26, 2024, aimed to educate ladies and young girls about the critical link between cancer and mental health. Dr. Bhanu Vasudevan, an Obstetrician & Gynecologist at AMH Manama, highlighted the importance of cancer awareness, early detection, and screening during the session.
Asma Mohammed emphasized the need for open discussions about these issues and encouraged individuals to seek support. Following the educational session, all ladies received free examinations and checkups. Attendees were also given giveaways from sponsors VMB Bros and Al Aujan Group. The event also introduced “AskGopio,” an intelligent and free AI search engine designed to promote wellness, nutrition, and support for Breast Cancer Awareness and Mental Health.
The event was attended by AMH officials and GOPIO committee members, including President Tina Mathew, Vice President Samuel Paul, GS Roshan George, Asst. GS Sunitha Vivek, PR Secretary Ameena Rahman, Admin Secretary Manisha, and other officials from AMH.
