If elected, Dr. Al Shamsi’s primary focus will be putting the interests of citizens first, particularly addressing the issue of unemployment in Busaiteen. She plans to advance the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries’ employment platform initiative and promote the benefits of technology to tackle unemployment. Her goal is to reach out to voters through a comprehensive electoral plan and reject the idea that the constituency is already decided in favor of one candidate.
Dr. Al Shamsi is passionate about women’s issues and believes that women have unique insights and can excel in any field. She aims to enhance women’s roles in parliament and aligns with Her Highness Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa’s advocacy for Bahraini women’s roles and presence globally. Additionally, she plans to improve the living and working conditions of expatriate employees by extending and enforcing the midday summer ban and addressing truck congestion during peak hours.
In addition to her primary focuses, Dr. Al Shamsi also intends to address concerns surrounding the elderly in government hospitals and care homes by reducing waiting times in radiology departments. She also emphasizes pragmatic solutions to address retiree concerns related to parliamentary oversight of the retirement fund. Dr. Al Shamsi’s core principles revolve around integrity, honesty, and collaboration with skilled individuals to advance the prosperity vision outlined by His Majesty the King. She aims to uphold decorum and respect in every action, ensuring that the ideals she stands for are reflected in policies and actions.
