Social Protection System Development Forum in Musandam

The third annual forum for stakeholders in 2026 was held in Musandam, focusing on enhancing services for beneficiaries of the social protection system. The event aimed to simplify processes and expand electronic services, while also raising awareness about social insurance programs and updates related to social protection benefits, thereby improving service delivery for clients.

Organized by the Department of Social Protection in Musandam, the forum witnessed the participation of over 60 individuals, including employees from governmental and private sectors, as well as beneficiaries from various community segments. The objective was to strengthen direct communication with clients and increase awareness of accessible programs and services.

Key Insights and Discussions

According to Ahmed bin Salim Al Habsi, Director of the Department of Social Protection in Musandam, the forum included several specialized presentations that discussed the digital transformation within the Social Protection Fund, latest advancements in the protection system, and social insurance programs associated with contributions and workplace injury claims. These presentations provided crucial insights into the ongoing changes aimed at better serving community members.

Attendees discussed various services offered by the General Department of Client Services, detailing the electronic channels available and the mechanisms to utilize them. This focus on digital solutions is intended to enhance ease for beneficiaries in completing transactions and increase the overall efficiency of services delivered to diverse community groups.

Enhancing Community Engagement

Al Habsi highlighted that the forum fostered an environment for knowledge and experience exchange among participants. It was an opportunity to discuss efforts aimed at refining services, streamlining procedures, and expanding the reach of digital solutions to meet the evolving needs and expectations of clients.

Taking place at the Musandam Center for Culture and Innovation in the Wilayat of Khasab, the forum was part of the celebrations of the World Client Service Day by the Social Protection Fund. This initiative not only emphasizes the importance of client-centered service delivery, but also aims to strengthen community bonds through improved communication and understanding of available resources.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Social Protection

The forum in Musandam represents a committed step toward evolving the social protection system to better serve its beneficiaries. By emphasizing digital transformation and participatory communication, the initiative aims to advance service quality and accessibility. In the coming months, stakeholders can expect further developments, particularly in implementing feedback and enhancing electronic service offerings to address community needs effectively.

As the social protection landscape continues to evolve, ongoing forums and discussions will be essential in ensuring that the programs not only adapt to technological advancements but also remain responsive to the diverse challenges faced by beneficiaries. The next expected step will be the rollout of additional digital services that are aimed at simplifying access and improving user experience.
