Government hospitals looking for food services

Five catering companies are currently competing for a lucrative two-year contract to supply food services to all government hospitals in Bahrain. The Tender Board announced that the selected supplier(s) will be responsible for providing a variety of menus for patients and ensuring that food is transported to and within the hospital premises daily from 7am to 7pm. The bids for the contract range from BD3,499,870.800 by Food City to BD7,384,440.000 by Jalil Catering. The hospitals that will be serviced include Salmaniya Medical Complex, Psychiatric Hospital, Jidhafs Maternity Hospital, Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Community Medical Center, Muharraq Geriatric Hospital, Multiple Sclerosis Center, and Abdulrahman Kanoo Kidney Dialysis Center.

The government hospitals in Bahrain are seeking catering companies that can meet the specific requirements and demands of providing food services to patients. With a variety of menus needed for different dietary needs and preferences, the selected supplier(s) will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive nutritious and appetizing meals during their hospital stay. In addition to menu variety, bidders must also be able to maintain the daily transport of food to and within the hospital premises, ensuring that meals are delivered promptly and efficiently throughout the day.

Among the five catering companies vying for the contract, Food City has submitted a bid of BD3,499,870.800, while Jalil Catering has submitted a bid of BD7,384,440.000. The wide range of bids reflects the competitive nature of the tender process and highlights the importance of providing a strong proposal that meets the needs of the government hospitals. The selected supplier(s) will have the opportunity to establish a long-term partnership with the hospitals and play a key role in supporting patient care through the provision of high-quality food services.
