The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has recently announced that Air Samarkand (Sam Air) will be launching regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan starting on July 30. This new route will operate from Samarkand to Jeddah during the summer season of 2024. This move is a part of GACA’s ongoing efforts to enhance air connectivity and link Saudi Arabia with the rest of the world. It is also in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, aiming to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub and opening new horizons for travel.

The introduction of this new flight route will provide more options for travelers looking to visit Uzbekistan from Saudi Arabia, while also opening up opportunities for Uzbekistan residents to explore the Kingdom. This development will not only facilitate tourism and business travel between the two countries but also contribute to strengthening bilateral relations. By expanding its air connectivity network, Saudi Arabia is taking a step towards achieving its goal of becoming a global hub for logistics and travel.

GACA’s decision to launch regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan comes as part of its broader strategy to support the goals of the National Aviation Strategy. By improving air connectivity and expanding flight routes, Saudi Arabia aims to attract more tourists, investors, and business travelers to the Kingdom. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the overall economy by boosting tourism revenue and stimulating commercial activities.

Air Samarkand’s new flight route to Jeddah is set to significantly reduce travel time between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, making it easier for passengers to reach their destinations. With the introduction of this direct flight, travelers can expect a more convenient and efficient travel experience with fewer layovers and shorter transit times. This increased accessibility will not only benefit tourists and business travelers but also foster cultural exchange and strengthen ties between the two countries.

The inauguration of regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan marks a significant milestone in GACA’s efforts to enhance air connectivity and support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals. By opening up new routes and linking Saudi Arabia with key destinations around the world, GACA is paving the way for increased tourism, trade, and investment opportunities. The launch of Air Samarkand’s new flight route is expected to contribute to the growth of the aviation sector in Saudi Arabia and further establish the Kingdom as a global aviation hub.

Overall, the introduction of regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan demonstrates GACA’s commitment to expanding air connectivity and fostering international relations. This initiative will not only benefit travelers looking to explore new destinations but also contribute to the economic development of both countries. As Saudi Arabia continues to invest in its aviation infrastructure and expand its network of flight routes, the Kingdom is positioning itself as a key player in the global aviation industry and opening up new possibilities for tourism and trade.
