The Bahrain Red Crescent Society, along with four other NGOs in Bahrain, are sending 1,000 wheelchairs as assistance to the victims of the war in Gaza. The Secretary-General of BRCS, Mr. Mubarak Khalifa Al Hadi, announced this initiative to support the people of Palestine. The aid shipment will be sent through Saudi Arabia and then Jordan, after coordinating with the authorities in Jordan. The efforts of BRCS also include assisting Palestinian children who are in need of medical treatment, despite the obstacles imposed by the Israeli side on the exit of convoys.

Several institutions and charitable associations in Bahrain are joining hands to provide assistance to the people of Gaza. Al Hadi highlighted the continuous support provided by BRCS within Bahrain since its establishment in 1970. The organization offers various types of monthly assistance, including in-kind and cash support, along with Ramadan aid for needy Bahraini families. To facilitate donations, BRCS has initiated services to receive financial support through mobile applications like “BenefitPay” and “Talabat,” as well as through “Sadad” devices. The organization is also exploring options to expand donation collection through ATMs in some banks.

The assistance provided by the Bahraini NGOs reflects the solidarity and compassion of the Bahraini people towards their brothers and sisters in Palestine. The gesture of sending wheelchairs as aid aims to alleviate the suffering of the victims of the conflict in Gaza. The coordination with Saudi Arabia and Jordan for the safe delivery of the wheelchairs underscores the commitment of these organizations to supporting humanitarian causes. Despite the challenges posed by the Israeli restrictions, the Bahrain Red Crescent Society remains dedicated to providing assistance to those in need.

The humanitarian efforts of BRCS and other NGOs in Bahrain demonstrate a commitment to supporting communities in crisis, both locally and internationally. The ongoing support for Palestinian children in need of medical treatment showcases the dedication of these organizations to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals. The collaboration between various institutions and charitable associations highlights the collective efforts to extend a helping hand to those affected by conflict and hardship. The continuous support provided by BRCS since its establishment reflects a long-standing commitment to humanitarian causes within Bahrain.

In addition to providing aid to Gaza, the Bahraini Red Crescent Society continues to offer assistance within Bahrain through various initiatives. The provision of monthly support, Ramadan aid, and assistance for needy families reflects the organization’s dedication to addressing social and economic challenges locally. The utilization of technology, such as mobile applications and fundraising platforms, further enhances the accessibility of donating and supporting humanitarian causes. The expansion of donation collection through ATMs showcases innovative approaches to facilitating contributions from the community.

Overall, the humanitarian efforts of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society and other NGOs in Bahrain exemplify a commitment to compassion, solidarity, and support for those in need. The initiative to send wheelchairs to Gaza is a tangible demonstration of the dedication to improving the lives of individuals affected by conflict and crisis. The ongoing assistance provided by these organizations reflects a long-standing commitment to humanitarian causes, both locally and internationally. Through collaboration and innovation, these organizations continue to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals, showcasing the spirit of generosity and empathy within the Bahraini community.
