The Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI) recently hosted a conference on Digital Transformation at the Gulf Convention Centre. The event, inaugurated by His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, focused on the profound impact of digital transformation on the financial sector and beyond. Key knowledge partners for the event included the Bahrain Internal Auditors Association and the Bahrain Local Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

With over 450 members, the Bahrain Chapter of ICAI has become a crucial professional body in Bahrain, contributing to key decision-making across various industries and consulting organizations. The conference highlighted Bahrain’s digital transformation journey, with a focus on how emerging technologies are reshaping the financial landscape. The panel discussion featured experts Mr. Fawaz Ghazal, CEO of FLOOSS Bahrain BSC, and Mr. Mahmood Jassim Shaker, Regional Director at Dell Technologies, who provided valuable insights into ongoing transformations within the industry.

Key topics explored at the conference included Data Analytics, Open Banking and APIs, Cloud Banking, Sustainable Finance, and RegTech. The discussions emphasized the significance of digital strategies in transforming financial institutions and enhancing the economic landscape in Bahrain and the Gulf region. The event was attended by over 200 professionals from various organizations, promising to guide professionals in navigating the future of finance as Bahrain continues to embrace technological advancements.
