“Silence 2” is a new addition to the action movie and crime thriller genre, streaming on ZEE5 Global. Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Prachi Desai and directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, this sequel to Silence… Can you hear it? takes place in Mumbai, where a violent shootout at a nightclub leads to a Special Crime Unit investigation. ACP Avinash Verma, played by Bajpayee, uncovers a deeper conspiracy behind the crime, linking it to another murder in Jaipur. This raises the question of whether the two murders are connected in some way.

The character of ACP Avinash Verma is richly developed with a witty sense of humor and a strong investigative approach, portrayed impressively by Bajpayee. While the film focuses on his professional life, his personal story remains largely unexplored. Supporting characters like Prachi Desai, Sahil Vaid, and Vaquar Shaikh receive less narrative attention and growth. The dialogues in the film feel cliché, hindering the natural progression of the story. Despite attention to detail, the film feels too long and could benefit from tighter editing.

The highlight of Silence 2 is its outstanding cinematography by Pooja Gupte, especially in the gripping action sequences. However, while the plot twist is surprising, its execution may leave some audience members with unresolved questions. Overall, the film is an average thriller elevated by Manoj Bajpayee’s performance, offering enough tense moments to entertain fans of the genre. Directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans and featuring a cast including Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai, Sahil Vaid, and Vaquar Shaikh, Silence 2 receives a rating of 2.5/5.
