Mireya Guliani, a 10-year-old student in Dubai, is making a positive impact by actively collecting pre-loved school supplies for underprivileged children in India. Additionally, she teaches music online to children from this charity on a weekly basis. At her home in Al Safa, she hosts a book reading drive where young children can borrow, lend, and donate books. Inspired by seeing underprivileged children in India using plastic bags as school bags, Guliani decided to take action to help them upon returning to Dubai.

With the support of her mother, Guliani made a poster and shared it on WhatsApp groups with the community, friends, and family to collect donations of old school supplies. Between January and April, she managed to collect school bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, and notebooks. Although she was unable to personally deliver the supplies in India due to ongoing protests, they were couriered to a charitable organization called Harmony House, which helps underprivileged children. Guliani aims to continue this project annually to provide support for these children.

In addition to collecting school supplies, Guliani also teaches music, piano, and vocal skills to early learners from the charity online. She uses her Fridays from school to teach these children, helping them express themselves and gain music knowledge. Furthermore, she has started a home library called “V Read and V Swap” for the Al Safa community kids every Saturday, where children can swap books and even donate used books to add to the library. She hopes to expand this initiative to children from other communities in the UAE as well.

Guliani’s efforts reflect her dedication to helping underprivileged children through different initiatives such as collecting school supplies, teaching music, and promoting reading habits. By spreading awareness and encouraging donations, she aims to make a positive impact on the lives of these children in need. Her passion for music and reading shines through in these activities, showcasing her commitment to giving back to her community and supporting those less fortunate.

Through her various projects, Guliani inspires others to take action and contribute to the betterment of society. By sharing her story and initiatives, she hopes to raise more awareness and encourage individuals to join her in making a difference. With continued support and dedication, Guliani’s projects can have a lasting impact on the lives of underprivileged children, providing them with access to education, music, and a love for reading.
