Dubai’s Ruler has recently issued a decree to promote 6,025 military personnel in various military departments in the city. The promotions encompassed cadres from Dubai Police, the State Security Department, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and the General Directorate of Civil Defence. One of the major promotions included Major General Awad Hadher Al Muhairi, who was elevated to the rank of Lieutenant General by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, effective from July 1, 2024.

The resolutions issued by the Ruler also entailed the promotion of 4,219 Dubai Police employees, as well as the promotion and retirement of 33 cadres, totaling 4,276 military personnel within the department. Additionally, 548 members of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai were promoted, along with the retirement of five individuals, making a total of 556 affiliated military personnel. Moreover, 783 military personnel of the State Security Department in Dubai were promoted, coupled with the retirement of 19 individuals, totaling 803 of its cadres. Furthermore, 387 military personnel from the General Department of Civil Defence in Dubai were promoted, with the retirement of 60 and 28 military cadres, bringing the total to 390 military personnel associated with the department.

Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, expressed his gratitude for Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s generous gesture towards the military cadres. He highlighted the Ruler’s interest in rewarding sincere efforts aimed at maintaining the UAE and Dubai as symbols of security and safety, ensuring a society that prioritizes the safety of its members at all times. This gesture reflects the leader’s constant keenness to acknowledge and appreciate the dedication and hard work put in by the military personnel across various specializations.

The recent promotions showcase the recognition and appreciation of the military personnel’s contributions to maintaining the security and safety of Dubai and the UAE as a whole. Such gestures not only motivate the individuals being promoted but also serve as a morale booster for the entire military force. The continuous support and acknowledgment from the Ruler demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the capabilities and efficiency of the military departments, ultimately leading to a safer and more secure environment for the residents and visitors of Dubai.

In conclusion, the recent decree issued by Dubai’s Ruler highlights the importance placed on the military personnel and their contributions to ensuring the safety and security of the city. The promotions serve as a form of recognition for their hard work and dedication, motivating them to continue their efforts in safeguarding the well-being of the community. With the support and guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the military departments in Dubai are well-equipped to fulfill their responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This commitment to excellence ultimately contributes to Dubai’s reputation as a model of safety and security in the region.
