Two Dubai Police officers, Corporals Amjad Muhammad Al Balushi and Khamis Muhammad Al Aisai, were recently honoured for their prompt and heroic actions in rescuing a European woman from drowning off the beach near the Marina area. The officers received a report of the woman in distress and were able to arrive at the scene within just five minutes to provide immediate assistance until the ambulance arrived. The Director of the Ports Police Station, Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail, commended the officers for their bravery and quick response in saving the woman’s life.

The incident began when the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations received a report about the woman in danger of drowning while swimming in the waters off Marina Beach. The marine security patrol on duty quickly responded to the emergency call, proving their efficiency and readiness to handle such situations. The officers were praised for their professionalism and commitment to safeguarding the community, showcasing the high standard of service provided by the Dubai Police force.

In recognition of their exemplary actions, Al Balushi and Al Aisai were presented with certificates of appreciation in a ceremony attended by senior officials from the Dubai Police force. Dr. Suhail emphasized the importance of inspiring and encouraging all personnel to continue delivering excellent services to the community, highlighting the significance of timely responses and effective communication in emergency situations. The recognition serves as a reminder of the dedication and commitment of Dubai Police officers to ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and visitors in the city.

Dr. Suhail also stressed the importance of following safety guidelines while enjoying beach and pool activities. He advised beachgoers to adhere to precautionary measures such as not swimming in deep waters if they are unable to swim, not leaving children unattended in the water, and only swimming in designated areas with lifeguards present. Additionally, he recommended wearing appropriate swimwear, avoiding swimming under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and refraining from reckless behavior in the water to prevent accidents and ensure a safe swimming experience for all.

Colonel Ali Al Naqbi, Deputy Director of the Ports Police Station, Major Ali Hamid Bin Harb Al Shamsi, Head of the Marine Security Section, and Major Saeed Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Head of the General Shift Section, were present at the ceremony to acknowledge the efforts of the officers and express their support for upholding safety standards in water-related activities. The Dubai Police force continues to uphold its commitment to serving the community and maintaining a high level of professionalism in handling emergencies and ensuring public safety both on land and at sea.
