The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai announced on Sunday morning that services between Centerpoint and GGICO stations on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro have resumed after a temporary disruption due to a technical issue. The RTA stated that the service is back to normal in both directions on the Red Line, but trains will not stop at Energy, Equiti, Mashreq, and ONPASSIVE stations during this time. Alternative bus services have been deployed to serve commuters affected by the disruption.

Passengers are urged to stay updated for further announcements from the RTA regarding the technical issue and the restoration of normal metro services on the affected stretch. In the meantime, 150 buses will continue to serve passengers commuting between Business Bay to OnPassive, Mall of the Emirates, Mashreq, Equity, Dubai Internet City, and Al Khail Metro stations. The RTA has been working diligently to restore normal operations after four metro stations in Dubai remained closed following heavy rains in mid-April.

The closure of Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq, and Energy stations was a result of record-breaking rains and subsequent flooding across the UAE. However, the RTA announced that these stations will see normal operations restored by May 28 after completing all maintenance and safety tests. Commuters are advised to follow KT on WhatsApp Channels to stay up to date with the latest news and announcements from the RTA. The RTA has provided alternative bus services and train shuttles at the affected stations to minimize inconvenience for passengers during this time.

The RTA’s swift action in deploying alternative bus services and train shuttles demonstrates their commitment to ensuring seamless transportation services for commuters in Dubai. The restoration of normal operations on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro following the technical issue highlights the efficiency and responsiveness of the RTA in addressing disruptions and providing timely solutions. Commuters can rely on the RTA to keep them informed and provide alternative transportation options in the event of any unexpected disruptions or technical issues on the metro system.

As the RTA continues to work towards restoring normal operations at the affected metro stations, passengers can rest assured that their safety and convenience remain a top priority. By following the RTA on WhatsApp Channels and staying updated on the latest news and announcements, commuters can stay informed about any changes or disruptions to metro services. The RTA’s dedication to providing reliable and efficient transportation services reaffirms their commitment to enhancing the overall commuter experience in Dubai.
