In Dubai, UAE, a Filipino couple, Ryan and Joanna Ramos, have established several successful businesses, including Cultivate Landscape and Gardening Works LLC, Craft Auto Services, The Dream Lab, and TFC Events Management. Each company specializes in different products and services, from landscaping to auto services to events management. Joanna serves as the Chief Heart Officer of several of these companies, while Ryan is the founder and managing director of all the Cultivate brands. Together, they form a dynamic duo that balances creativity with strategic execution. Their entrepreneurial drive stems from their desire to build a secure and impactful future for their family.

Seeking financial advice from a trusted advisor, Randell Tiongson, was a key turning point for the couple. This guidance reinforced their financial foundation and inspired them to pursue their business dreams with discipline and careful planning. Ryan’s first mentor was his mother, who instilled in him the importance of being street smart, while Joanna learned basic business skills from her parents who ran a sari-sari store. The couple also credits influential figures like Rex Mendoza and the TRC Master Minds for providing invaluable insights and strategic guidance that have shaped their business skills and helped them achieve their full potential.

The couple attributes the success of their businesses to the UAE’s excellent infrastructure and business-friendly environment, which have provided them with the tools and support needed to grow. They appreciate the country’s focus on innovation and economic growth, which aligns with their business goals and offers ample opportunities for expansion. The diverse community in the UAE has also helped them connect with like-minded professionals and build a strong network, making it an ideal place for them to start and grow their businesses. They moved to the UAE in 2005, drawn by the country’s dynamic business landscape and growth opportunities, as well as the supportive environment for entrepreneurs.

Despite having secure jobs, Joanna and Ryan’s burning desire to venture into entrepreneurship led them to take the plunge and start their own businesses. Their journey as business partners began with a shared commitment to creating businesses that not only succeed but also give back to the community. Their collaboration is built on trust, shared goals, and a passion for innovation. The couple met in the Philippines and their mutual dedication to entrepreneurship has brought them to Dubai, where they have found success and fulfillment in running multiple ventures. Their story is a testament to the UAE’s supportive environment for expat entrepreneurs.
