Are you or someone you know a person of determination? If so, did you know that you can book a “people of determination taxi” in Dubai? These taxis are specially designed to be accessible to individuals with various disabilities and can be identified by the blue special needs icon displayed on the side doors and back window. To book this taxi, the individual must hold a Sanad card, which is available to citizens, residents, and tourists.

There are different channels through which you can book a people of determination taxi in Dubai. You can use mobile applications such as the Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) App, S’hail App, and Careem App. Alternatively, you can contact the call centers of DTC through 800 88088 or RTA through 800 9090. These taxis can also be hailed on the roads of Dubai or booked at various ports such as Dubai Airport (T1,2,3 & DWC) and Port Rashid.

The taxi fare for booking a people of determination taxi through the app, call center, or street hail is Dh8 as the base fare and Dh2.23 per km rate. However, if you book a people of determination taxi through ports, the base fare is Dh25 with the same per km rate of Dh2.23. Individuals with non-motor disabilities can also book regular taxis through the DTC App and avail a 50% discount on the fare upon showing their Sanad card.

In conclusion, Dubai offers a special service for people of determination by providing accessible taxis for those with disabilities. By using various channels such as mobile applications, call centers, or street hail, individuals can book these special taxis and avail specific discounts. The city aims to provide inclusive transportation options for all its residents and visitors, ensuring accessibility and convenience for everyone, regardless of their abilities.
