Dubai Metro commuter Imane Ezzemany, who travels daily to Mall of the Emirates and Ibn Battuta, saw her commute time triple since the station closures on April 16. However, with the reopening of three stations, she was back to her normal commute. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had planned to reopen the stations on May 28, but completed necessary maintenance and testing earlier.

Imane, along with many other commuters, was relieved to see the stations operating again. RTA employees were on hand to guide passengers, and all facilities were working efficiently. For some, like Indian resident Smitha James, relying on shuttle buses and carpooling during the closures was a hassle. She was overjoyed to return to the hassle-free metro commute.

The four-station closure had also impacted job seekers like Jeremy Jugueta, whose plans were delayed due to the closures. With the stations reopening, he and his friends were able to resume their job hunting and visit places they had been wanting to explore. The metro journey was smooth and nearly empty, providing a comfortable and convenient commute for all passengers.

Dubai operates swiftly in finding solutions, as Imane had predicted the stations would reopen sooner than expected. Free buses were provided to ensure rider convenience even during the station closures. With the metro back in operation, commuters like Imane and Smitha were able to return to their normal routines and enjoy a stress-free daily commute. The reopening of the stations brought a sense of relief and excitement to all passengers looking to resume their regular travels.
