Representatives from member states Spain, Austria, and Saudi Arabia, as well as the Vatican and Portugal, were in attendance. The meeting focused on reviewing administrative and financial reports to improve governance and transparency within the organization. The Council of Parties commended the financial mechanisms in place to support the Center’s mission of promoting dialogue between people of different religions and cultures.

During the meeting, the Council also discussed the procedures for allowing new countries, including Portugal, to join the Council of the Parties. Additionally, they reviewed the steps necessary for KAICIID to obtain observer status at the United Nations. Dr. Al-Harthi emphasized the organization’s commitment to advancing peace and dialogue among individuals of varying backgrounds. The Lisbon meeting served as a platform for discussing strategies to enhance the organization’s impact and reach in promoting dialogue and understanding across cultures and religions.

Despite the challenges posed by the current global landscape, KAICIID remains steadfast in its mission to foster dialogue and cooperation among individuals of different faiths and cultures. By leveraging its partnerships with member states and international organizations, the organization continues to advance its goal of building a more inclusive and harmonious world. Through initiatives aimed at promoting mutual understanding and respect, KAICIID aims to create a more peaceful and tolerant global community where individuals can coexist and thrive.
