OQ, the global integrated energy group, has launched the OQ Digital Hub with the goal of developing national workforce skills through structured training programs. Partnerships with leading international and local IT companies will provide participants with globally recognized certifications, enhancing their qualifications. The Hub will welcome its first cohort of trainees, composed of OQ employees, in September and will be evaluated after one year. This initiative aligns with Oman Vision 2040 goals to leverage digital resources and contribute to the nation’s development.

The OQ Digital Hub aims to develop digital solutions through partnerships with global companies, accelerate digital transformation, foster SMEs, and train entrepreneurs to hone their IT skills. It targets young talents, enhances diversity and inclusion in the digital sector, creates opportunities for disabled individuals, and promotes digital innovation and entrepreneurship. The Hub also aims to address the social and ethical impacts of digital transformation, contributing to Oman’s economic growth and diversification in the digital age.

OQ has signed 14 memoranda of cooperation with international companies to enhance the Hub by providing training programs. Signatories from partner companies include leaders from Cisco, Infosys, Microsoft, SAP, ESPER, Krish IT, Cyberforce, PwC, OpenText, Accenture, Huawei, and Google Cloud. These partnerships will contribute to providing high-level training programs and certifications to participants, enhancing their skills and qualifications in the digital sector.
