The Bahrain High Criminal Court issued two prison sentences totalling fifteen years for a Bahraini teacher who sexually assaulted his students outside the school campus. The first sentence was five years. The second charge against him was a ten-year jail sentence.

The Northern Governorate Police Directorate reported to the Public Prosecution that a Bahraini teacher at a government school sexually molested one of his 7-year-old students outside the school campus.

The Public Prosecution quickly launched an inquiry after receiving the allegation and listening to the child’s father, who determined that the accused sexually attacked his kid by caressing him.

When queried, the victim youngster stated that he had followed his teacher to one of the malls with his father’s permission, and while there, the teacher caressed and felt his private parts. After being interrogated, the accused admitted to the charges against him and was placed in pretrial jail pending an inquiry.

The technical evaluation confirmed the existence of traces from the accused on the victim’s private parts and clothes, which was compatible with the victim’s claims and the accused’s admission to the investigations.

However, it was not established that the accused had complete sexual contact with the child, and based on all of this, the accused was sent to the High Criminal Court for committing sexual assault on the victim, with aggravating circumstances, punishable by up to life in prison.

Simultaneously, the Public Prosecution received another allegation in which the accused sexually assaulted another kid, one of his classmates.

The child’s father was questioned, as was the victim, who acknowledged that the accused had molested him in various locations by touching and feeling him.

The Public Prosecution was able to extract further incidences of sexual assault perpetrated by the accused in front of four other students at the same school who had not been reported to any authorities or their families via interrogation.

After interrogating these children, they concluded that the accused had abused them too by caressing and groping, although they had not had any complete sexual intercourse with them.

Following the conclusion of the investigations, the accused was sentenced to jail.

The High Criminal Court determines that sexual assault on victims, when paired with aggravating circumstances, is punishable by up to life in prison.

During the trial, the accused admitted to the charges against him, and the High Criminal Court scheduled a session for today, April 29, and issued an early decision.
