The Bahraini Ambassador to Iraq, Khalid Al Mansour, has confirmed that eight Bahraini citizens were involved in a traffic accident on a major road in Iraq. This incident occurred on a Friday morning, prompting the Minister of Foreign Affairs to issue instructions for immediate follow-up. The embassy has already dispatched a delegation to the Turkish Hospital in Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, to assess the condition of the injured individuals and provide the necessary support.

According to Al Mansour, initial information suggests that six of the Bahraini citizens involved in the accident are in stable condition, while one is in critical condition. The status of the eighth citizen remains unknown and will be confirmed upon the embassy staff’s arrival at the hospital. The embassy is committed to offering all necessary assistance to the injured individuals and hopes for their speedy recovery so they can return to Bahrain.

Reports indicated that one person died in the traffic accident between the governorates of Dhi Qar and Basra in Iraq. Several others were injured and have been transferred to the hospital for treatment. The Bahraini Embassy in Iraq is closely monitoring the situation of the wounded Bahraini citizens and providing updates on their condition. The embassy’s priority is to ensure the well-being of the injured individuals and support them during this challenging time.

The prompt response from the Bahraini authorities underscores the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively involved in overseeing the situation and coordinating the necessary assistance for the affected individuals. The embassy’s delegation’s arrival at the hospital will provide a direct assessment of the injured citizens’ condition and enable appropriate measures to be taken for their care and support.

The Bahraini community in Iraq and abroad is coming together to offer prayers and support for the injured individuals and their families. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the risks associated with travel and the importance of taking precautions while on the road. The Bahraini Embassy remains committed to providing updates on the situation and ensuring that the injured citizens receive the best possible care and support during their recovery.

As the details of the accident continue to unfold, the Bahraini authorities are focusing on coordinating efforts to assist the injured individuals and facilitate their return to Bahrain. The embassy’s commitment to providing necessary support and monitoring the situation reflects the government’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens both at home and abroad. Our thoughts are with the affected individuals, and we hope for their swift recovery and safe return to their families in Bahrain.
