A new initiative to plant trees along Bahrain Bay Highway is underway to enhance the area’s beauty and increase green spaces. The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs has issued a tender for the first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed in four months. The plan includes land preparation, landscaping, installing an irrigation system, setting up a water tank, and adding lighting and electrical works for the green areas. Bahrain Bay Highway has seen significant changes lately, with tree planting and green spaces added along the 2.5-kilometre stretch. In preparation for Bahrain’s Formula 1 races last year, over 750 trees were planted in the area, showcasing the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Strict conditions have been set by the ministry for bidders interested in the project. Key documents such as a compliance declaration and a price determination certificate signed by an authorised representative must be submitted. Additionally, bidders must provide a stamped and signed schedule of drawings as outlined in the tender documents to ensure their bid aligns with the project’s requirements. Failure to provide these documents will lead to disqualification from the tendering process. Companies looking to secure the contract must also possess a valid pre-qualification from the Ministry of Works for building construction projects graded B or above, as well as grade AA for landscaping work. Any deficiencies in these credentials will result in disqualification from the bidding process.

The project to plant trees along Bahrain Bay Highway is part of the government’s efforts to beautify public spaces and create a more sustainable environment. By increasing green spaces and implementing an irrigation system, the area will not only look more visually appealing but also contribute to a healthier ecosystem. The addition of trees and landscaping along the highway will provide shade, improve air quality, and create a more pleasant environment for residents and visitors alike. This project is in line with Bahrain’s commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation, showcasing the country’s dedication to enhancing its natural surroundings.

The tendering process for the tree planting project along Bahrain Bay Highway is highly competitive, with strict criteria set by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs to ensure quality and adherence to standards. By requiring bidders to submit essential documents and meet specific qualifications, the ministry is able to select the most qualified and reputable contractors for the job. This meticulous selection process ensures that the project will be carried out efficiently and effectively, delivering the desired results within the specified timeframe. By holding bidders to a high standard, the ministry is setting a precedent for future projects and encouraging excellence in environmental initiatives across the country.

The tree planting project along Bahrain Bay Highway is a significant step towards creating a greener and more vibrant urban environment in the area. By adding greenery and landscaping along the highway, the government is not only improving the aesthetics of the space but also promoting sustainability and environmental conservation. The project will enhance the overall quality of life for residents and visitors, providing a welcoming and eco-friendly space for everyone to enjoy. As Bahrain continues to prioritize environmental initiatives and green spaces, projects like this one serve as a model for sustainable development and urban planning. By investing in projects that benefit both the community and the environment, Bahrain is demonstrating its commitment to creating a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future.

In conclusion, the tree planting project along Bahrain Bay Highway represents a significant investment in the beautification and sustainability of the area. By adding trees, green spaces, and landscaping along the highway, the government is enhancing the visual appeal of the space while also improving the environment and quality of life for residents. The strict tendering process ensures that only qualified and reputable contractors will be selected for the job, guaranteeing a high standard of work and adherence to project specifications. This project is just one example of Bahrain’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development, showcasing the country’s dedication to creating a greener and more eco-friendly urban environment.
