A Better Life Association, led by MP Ahmed Sabah Al Saloum, has unveiled the opening of Ayn Umm ash Shum Park in Al Mahooz in a groundbreaking initiative. The park, which underwent months of renovation, holds cultural significance and historical value deeply rooted in the community’s memory. Al Saloum emphasized the importance of collaboration between government entities and civil society organizations, highlighting the association’s commitment to supporting economic and social projects to enhance the local environment and family life.

The partnership agreement between the association, Capital Municipality, and the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture paved the way for the revitalization of the park. Al Saloum stressed that their primary goal is to improve the community’s quality of life by managing and operating the park’s facilities. The agreement also includes the development of sports fields to offer recreational and athletic opportunities for visitors of all ages.

Children played a crucial role in the park’s renovation process, with a dedicated space to encourage their participation in physical activities that promote teamwork and social skills development. The park will serve as a safe space for youth in the area, fostering a family-friendly environment that reflects Bahraini social values. Various activities, including swimming, physical exercise, relaxation, and recreation areas, will be available for visitors to enjoy.

With its substantial size spanning 5,319 square meters, Ayn Umm ash Shum Park will maximize its utilization, providing an ideal location for community events and gatherings. The park’s design seamlessly blends traditional architectural elements with modern features, offering green spaces and designated areas for swimming and physical activities. Al Saloum highlighted the need for collective efforts from government bodies and civil society organizations to address the challenges posed by rapid urban development and limited land areas in residential neighborhoods.

In conclusion, the opening of Ayn Umm ash Shum Park marks a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance the well-being of the community in Al Mahooz. The park’s transformation under the management of A Better Life Association exemplifies the power of collaboration between public and private sectors to create safe and inclusive spaces for families and youth. As the park becomes a hub for recreational activities and community events, it will undoubtedly contribute to improving the overall quality of life for residents in the area.
