Bahrain’s Commitment to Human Development and Social Initiatives

Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, affirmed the country’s unwavering belief that human development is the ultimate goal and key driver of growth. At a recent ceremony, he highlighted the importance of civil service, labor, and social development sectors as integral components of Bahrain’s comprehensive development journey, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Honoring Leaders in Civil Service and Social Development

The Deputy Prime Minister made these remarks while honoring outstanding projects and individuals in civil service, labor, and social development within Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. This ceremony took place in the presence of Shrayda Abdullah Saad Al-Mausharji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Kuwait, alongside GCC delegation heads attending the 22nd meeting of the Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Agencies and the 12th Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs meeting, hosted by Bahrain.

Strengthening Gulf Cooperation

Sheikh Khalid emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to supporting initiatives and projects that enhance the shared goals of the GCC, paving the way for greater integration and coordination. This collaborative effort aims to meet the aspirations of the region’s leaders and the ambitions of its citizens for a more prosperous future.

Cultural Significance of Recognition in Civil Services

During the ceremony, Sheikh Khalid expressed pride in participating in this Gulf forum that celebrates the achievements of distinguished individuals from GCC countries. He noted that this recognition serves as a message of gratitude for all dedicated contributors who work tirelessly for their communities, further encouraging a culture of innovation and leadership.

Sheikh Daej bin Salman bin Daej Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau, acknowledged the honor given to the Deputy Prime Minister and highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to promoting Gulf cooperation. He stated that the celebration of exceptional talents and pioneering projects should further motivate continuous service and creativity within the region, fostering a culture of excellence and sharing successful experiences among member states.

Gassem Muhammad Al-Badwi, the Secretary-General of the GCC, reiterated during the ceremony that the accomplishments of the honorees represent commendable models that have contributed significantly to enhancing government and private sector workplaces.
