XBrew Lab is making waves in the beverage industry with the debut of EverNitro, a new countertop machine designed to bring the experience of nitro coffee to home users. Unveiled at CES this week, the EverNitro offers a potentially more affordable and sustainable alternative to existing nitro beverage systems, which often rely on disposable nitrogen cartridges. The device aims to replicate the smooth texture and naturally sweet taste of commercially tapped nitro coffee without the ongoing expense and environmental impact.

Nitro coffee, a popular offering in specialty coffee shops, is created by infusing cold brew coffee with nitrogen gas. This process results in a cascading effect and tiny bubbles, delivering a velvety mouthfeel and reducing perceived bitterness. While traditionally requiring specialized equipment, the growing demand for this beverage has spurred innovation in at-home solutions.

A New Approach to Nitro Coffee at Home

XBrew Lab positions EverNitro as a disruptive force in the market, directly competing with brands like NitroBrew. The key difference lies in the EverNitro’s ability to generate nitrogen from the air, eliminating the need for costly and wasteful cartridges. Founder and CEO Terry Tan stated the company’s goal is to provide “the quality of a commercial tap with the footprint of a coffee maker.”

The company claims the EverNitro achieves 95% nitrogen purity. This is a significant selling point, as the quality of nitrogen directly impacts the final product’s texture and flavor. By harvesting nitrogen from the surrounding atmosphere, the device offers a more environmentally conscious option for consumers.

How EverNitro Works

Early testers have reported a simple and straightforward user experience. The machine accommodates various beverages beyond coffee, including cocktails and other drinks where enhanced texture is desired. Users can adjust the pressure settings, ranging from 0 to 8 BAR, to customize the infusion process.

The entire process, from loading the beverage to enjoying the finished product, takes only a few minutes. A companion app provides users with updates and potentially control features, though details are still emerging.

The EverNitro launched on Kickstarter in October 2025 and exceeded its funding goals, raising over $570,000. This strong initial response suggests considerable consumer interest in accessible nitro beverage technology. The Lite version, including the machine and one canister, is priced at $470, while Kickstarter backers secured the device for $290. A Pro version, available for $583 (or $337 for backers), includes additional canisters, a coffee bean preservation jar, and whipped cream kits. In comparison, existing countertop nitro brewers can cost upwards of $1,000.

The success of the Kickstarter campaign highlights a growing market for premium, at-home beverage experiences. Consumers are increasingly willing to invest in equipment that allows them to recreate café-quality drinks in their own kitchens. This trend is fueled by both convenience and a desire for customization.

Beyond Coffee: The Future of Gas-Infused Beverages

XBrew Lab isn’t limiting its vision to just coffee. The company is actively exploring the potential of using different gases to enhance the texture and flavor of a wider range of beverages. According to Tan, the team is investigating “how gases can fundamentally elevate the texture of all beverages.”

This research could lead to a machine capable of intelligently mixing and gas-infusing cocktails, teas, or even sparkling water. The ability to automatically select the optimal gas profile based on the beverage type represents a significant advancement in beverage technology. The potential applications extend beyond the consumer market, possibly impacting bars, restaurants, and other food service establishments.

The company has not yet announced a firm timeline for the broader rollout of gas-infusion technology. However, they are actively gathering data and feedback from EverNitro users to inform future development. The next steps will likely involve refining the app’s functionality and expanding the range of compatible beverages. Industry analysts will be watching to see if XBrew Lab can successfully translate its Kickstarter momentum into sustained market share and establish a new category within the home beverage appliance space. The long-term viability of the technology will depend on factors such as manufacturing costs, consumer adoption of gas-infusion, and the emergence of competing products.
