The Royal Guard of Oman commemorates its annual day

Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman celebrated its annual day on Sunday with a grand ceremony under the patronage of Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al-Shariqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs. The event featured the graduation of a new batch of soldiers and various segments showcasing the high efficiency and performance of the Royal Guard of Oman under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander. The celebration included field military formations and parachute jumping to demonstrate the skills and dedication of the soldiers. The ceremony began with the playing of the Royal Anthem and a parade displaying the phrase “Our resolve never weakens” to highlight the importance of the Royal Guard of Oman.

During the ceremony, top graduates of the new soldiers course were recognized for their achievements. Soldier Ali bin Mohammed Al Faraji secured the first spot in the overall level of the course, while Soldier Abdullah bin Saeed Al Hosni was awarded first place in pistol shooting. Soldier Omar bin Juma Al Ameri excelled in rifle shooting and Soldier Maher bin Shambeeh Al Balushi stood out in marching and endurance. Soldier Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Kharousi demonstrated exceptional physical fitness skills. The Inspector General of Police and Customs presented the Special Service Medal of the Guard to members of the Royal Guard of Oman in appreciation of their efforts and dedication to serving the nation and the Supreme Commander.

The ceremony continued with a display of the Royal Guard of Oman anthem and a parachute show by the free-fall team. The graduates chanted messages of support for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander. The parade column, accompanied by the Royal Guard of Oman cavalry, then concluded the event with a march and the playing of the Royal Anthem. The celebration was attended by a number of dignitaries including ministers, the Chairman of the Shura Council, and commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, as well as military and security agencies. Retired commanders, honorable members of the State Council, and senior officers from various military and security agencies were also present at the event.

The Royal Guard of Oman ceremony highlighted the dedication and professionalism of the soldiers in serving the nation and upholding the values of the Royal Guard of Oman. The event showcased the rigorous training and skills that the soldiers acquire through their courses, with recognition given to those who excelled in various disciplines. The support and appreciation shown by the Inspector General of Police and Customs underscored the importance of recognizing the efforts made by members of the Royal Guard of Oman in fulfilling their duty to protect the nation and serve the Supreme Commander. The celebration was a testament to the unity and strength of the Royal Guard of Oman under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

As the event drew to a close, the attendees witnessed a display of unity and pride as the parade column marched in unison, symbolizing the solidarity and commitment of the Royal Guard of Oman in safeguarding the nation. The participation of military attachés from sisterly and friendly countries highlighted the international cooperation and exchange of military expertise that the Royal Guard of Oman engages in. The presence of officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel from the Royal Guard of Oman further emphasized the camaraderie and shared values that unite the members of the elite force. The annual day celebration served as a reminder of the sacrifices and dedication of the soldiers who serve with honor and loyalty to defend their country and uphold the legacy of the Royal Guard of Oman.
