Applied Science University (ASU) has recently been ranked 25th in the QS Arab University Rankings for 2025, solidifying its position as a top private university in Bahrain and a distinguished educational institution in the region. This achievement highlights ASU’s commitment to academic excellence and its growing impact on both regional and international education landscapes. Prof. Waheeb Al-Khaja, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, congratulated Prof. Hatem Masri, the University President, and the entire ASU community for their efforts in enhancing academic standards, which will benefit both the university and its students.

Prof. Masri expressed his gratitude to the university’s leadership and board members for their support, as well as to regional and global partners for their collaboration and alignment with labor market needs. He also acknowledged the contributions of organizations such as the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, the Ministry of Education, and the Higher Education Council for advancing Bahrain’s education system. ASU’s success in the QS rankings is seen as a reflection of its dedication to excellence and its efforts to meet the demands of the public and private sectors.

Dr. Mohamed Youssef, Vice President for Administration, Finance, and Community Engagement, echoed the pride in ASU’s ranking in the top 25. He highlighted the university’s mission to establish itself as a premier private higher education institution in the Arab world, and noted that this recognition aligns with that goal. Prof. Masri and Dr. Youssef represented ASU at the official QS ranking ceremony in Jordan, where they celebrated the university’s significant jump from 45th place in 2019 to 25th in 2025, showcasing ASU’s ongoing progress.

The QS ranking, published by Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluates thousands of institutions globally and is considered a reliable measure of academic quality and institutional advancement. ASU’s recognition in the QS rankings demonstrates its unwavering commitment to excellence and its growing influence in higher education both regionally and internationally. This achievement serves as a testament to ASU’s continuous efforts to enhance academic standards and prepare graduates to excel in the dynamic job market, making it a top choice for students seeking quality education in Bahrain and beyond.
