The Arabian horse show season is set to kick off with the 4th Qatar Arabian Breeders Cup, followed by the Qatar Arabian Horse Show for Local Bred, both taking place at the indoor arena of Al Shaqab from October 24-28. The Breeders Cup will showcase over 150 horses, with awards given to the top five in each class. The Qatar Arabian Horse Show for Local Bred will focus on horses bred and born in Qatar, allowing them to compete in a C National category show recognized by ECAHO.

The shows will feature judges, disciplinary committee members, and ringmasters from around the globe, ensuring a fair and competitive event. Horses placed first to third at both shows will qualify for higher-level competitions such as A Shows or GCAT shows, while World Championship, Title Show, A Show, or GCAT Show Champion Gold and Silver winners will not be allowed to participate in a C National show for the next three years unless the horse moves up a category. The Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) have announced a programme of twelve national and international shows throughout the season.

QREC aims to build on Qatar’s success in the horse show discipline, with the country now recognized as a leader in the industry. The impressive results achieved in recent years have established Qatar as a top contender in major events like the annual World Championship, as well as prestigious tournaments in the US, Europe, and Arab countries. By hosting a series of high-quality shows, QREC hopes to further enhance the reputation of Qatar as a hub for Arabian horse breeding and competition.

The Arabian horse shows in Qatar offer a platform for breeders and owners to showcase their horses, network with industry professionals, and compete at a national and international level. With a focus on promoting the Arabian breed and preserving its heritage, these shows play a crucial role in elevating the standard of horsemanship in the region. Additionally, by adhering to strict guidelines and rules, the shows ensure fair competition and uphold the integrity of the sport.

The Qatar Arabian Horse Show for Local Bred provides a unique opportunity for local breeders and owners to showcase their horses on a global stage. By participating in these shows, they can gain recognition, build their reputation, and open up new avenues for business and collaboration within the equestrian community. The shows also serve as a platform for international participants to experience the rich Arabian horse culture of Qatar and forge connections with local breeders and enthusiasts.

Overall, the Arabian horse shows in Qatar serve as a vital platform for promoting the breed, fostering a spirit of competition and camaraderie within the equestrian community, and showcasing the talent and dedication of breeders and owners in the region. With a focus on quality, integrity, and excellence, these shows continue to raise the bar for Arabian horse breeding and competition in Qatar and beyond. By participating in these shows, individuals not only have the chance to compete at a high level but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of the extraordinary Arabian horse breed.
