UAE’s Emirates to resume services to Jordan; few airlines prolong cancellation of flights to Beirut – News

Emirates will be resuming services to Amman from October 6, after having cancelled and rerouted several flights due to airspace closures in the Middle East. The closures in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon came after Iran’s missile attacks on Israel. Flights to Beirut will remain cancelled up to October 15, with customers transiting through Dubai with Beirut as their final destination not being accepted for travel until further notice. Etihad Airways also extended the cancellation of its flights to and from Beirut until October 11 in response to regional developments.

Passengers are advised to stay updated with the latest news and follow KT on WhatsApp Channels for any updates regarding their flights. Etihad Airways resumed its flight services between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv on October 3, while Emirates flights to and from Iraq and Iran will remain cancelled until October 7. Customers transiting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq and Iran will not be accepted for travel until October 8 as well.

Both airlines recommend contacting booking agents or the airlines directly for alternative travel options. Passengers should ensure their contact details are up to date and both airlines continue to monitor developments in the region and remain in contact with relevant authorities. Flydubai also confirmed that flights from Dubai to Iran, Iraq, Israel, and Jordan will resume on October 4. Travelers are advised to check with the airlines for the most current information on their flights.

In response to ongoing regional tensions, UAE based airlines have had to cancel and reroute flights due to airspace closures in certain parts of the Middle East. The recent closures in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon were a result of Iran’s missile attacks on Israel. Emirates has announced the resumption of services to Amman from October 6, while flights to Beirut will remain cancelled until October 15.
