The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) recently partnered with Beyon Connect to host an awareness session in preparation for the launch of its enhanced eKey system. This system aims to make accessing eServices easier for citizens, residents, and businesses in Bahrain by streamlining the process and improving security. The session was attended by officials and representatives from various governmental entities that require the eKey login for their services.
The eKey system, which was first launched in 2012, allows citizens and residents to access a variety of eServices through the National Portal, bahrain.bh, and other digital channels without constantly entering personal information. It is continuously updated and developed to meet international security standards and provide a better user experience for all users. Beyon Connect, in collaboration with iGA, presented further details about the enhanced system and its features during the session.
The goal of the partnership between iGA and Beyon Connect is to provide innovative and secure digital solutions for both the public and private sectors while prioritizing user data protection and reinforcing trust in digital services. The presentation at the awareness session highlighted the key features and advantages of the updated eKey system, with the project team addressing any questions from attendees. The iGA is working closely with Beyon Connect to complete all necessary protocols for the official launch of the revamped eKey system.
The importance of the awareness session was emphasized by the iGA team, as it ensures that the new system meets the requirements of government entities, citizens, and private companies before the official launch. A dedicated eKey mobile app will soon be available for download from the eGovernment App Store, bahrain.bh/apps, as well as other major app platforms like the App Store, Google Play, and AppGallery. This app will utilize artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance security and allow users to complete registration online without needing to visit service centers in person. With this new system, accessing eServices in Bahrain will be more efficient and secure than ever before.
