Dr. Maryam Athbi Al Jalahma, the CEO of Government Hospitals, has recently announced the opening of a dedicated ward specifically for female patients with sickle cell anaemia (SCA). This initiative reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality medical care for all patients, especially those suffering from SCA. The ward is equipped with 18 beds, each featuring vital signs monitoring systems to ensure continuous monitoring of patients and improve the overall quality of care provided.

The main goal of this initiative is to optimize resource use in order to meet the specific health needs of female SCA patients. In addition to the new ward, Government Hospitals also inaugurated a day care unit for women with hereditary blood disorders at Salmaniya Medical Complex in February. This unit includes 12 beds, an examination room, triage areas, treatment rooms, and consultation areas to provide specialized services for female SCA patients.

Dr. Al Jalahma stressed the importance of providing specialized care for SCA patients, as they have unique health needs that require personalized attention. By establishing a dedicated ward and day care unit for female SCA patients, Government Hospitals are working towards enhancing the overall quality of care and treatment provided to these patients. This initiative is part of Government Hospitals’ ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services and ensure the well-being of all patients.

Government Hospitals’ commitment to providing the highest standards of medical care is evident in their efforts to allocate resources and establish specialized units for patients with specific health conditions, such as SCA. By focusing on the unique needs of female SCA patients and providing them with a dedicated ward and day care unit, Government Hospitals are demonstrating their dedication to ensuring that all patients receive the specialized care and treatment they need to manage their health conditions effectively.

The opening of a dedicated ward for female SCA patients is a significant step forward in Government Hospitals’ efforts to improve healthcare services and provide personalized care for patients with specific health conditions. By investing in specialized units and resources for SCA patients, Government Hospitals are working towards enhancing the overall quality of care provided to all patients and ensuring that their healthcare needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

In conclusion, the establishment of a dedicated ward and day care unit for female SCA patients at Government Hospitals reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality, specialized care for all patients. By focusing on the unique health needs of female SCA patients and providing them with a dedicated space and resources, Government Hospitals are taking important steps towards improving healthcare services and ensuring the well-being of all patients with specific health conditions.
