Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has agreed to a contract extension for the 2026-27 NBA season, earning nearly $63 million. His agent, Jeff Austin, confirmed the agreement, bringing Curry’s total guaranteed earnings to about $178 million for the next three seasons. This extension will make Curry one of the highest-paid players in NBA history, with on-court earnings expected to reach about $532 million by the end of the 2026-27 season.

At 36 years old, Curry is entering his 16th NBA season, all with the Warriors. The 10-time All-Star and All-NBA selection has been a key part of four championships with Golden State and is a two-time MVP. This summer, Curry also won Olympic gold with the US team, contributing a stellar performance in the title game against France. With an average of 26.4 points per game last season and a career average of 24.8 points, Curry continues to be a dominant force on the court.

Curry’s contract extension marks a significant milestone in his career, solidifying his status as one of the greatest players in NBA history. His contributions to the Warriors’ success, both in terms of championships and individual accolades, have made him a beloved figure in the basketball world. With his impressive scoring ability and leadership on and off the court, Curry’s legacy as a basketball legend is secure.

With his new contract, Curry will have the opportunity to continue competing at the highest level for several more seasons. As he approaches the latter stages of his career, Curry remains a key player for the Warriors, providing valuable experience and leadership to his teammates. His dedication to the game and relentless work ethic have set him apart as a true professional and role model for young players.

In addition to his on-court success, Curry has also made a significant impact off the court through his charitable work and advocacy efforts. As a strong advocate for social justice and equality, Curry has used his platform to raise awareness about important issues and support various causes. His philanthropic work has earned him widespread praise and admiration from fans and peers alike.

Overall, Curry’s contract extension with the Warriors represents a continuation of his illustrious career and a testament to his enduring impact on the game of basketball. As he looks ahead to the 2026-27 season and beyond, Curry will continue to inspire the next generation of players and fans with his exceptional talent and unwavering commitment to excellence. With his unparalleled skill and competitive spirit, Curry’s legacy as one of the all-time greats in NBA history is firmly secured.
