The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has seen a growth of 7 percent in private jet movements in the first six months of 2024, with 8,472 movements recorded. This follows a record of 16,657 movements in 2023, with a projected increase to 18,000 movements by the end of 2024. The hub has solidified its status as the leading airport for international business aviation movements in the Middle East, showcasing the maturity of the business aviation ecosystem in the region.

Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South’s executive chairman, Khalifa Al Zaffin, expressed pleasure at the continuous growth of business aviation movements year after year. He anticipates further growth in these figures due to the new developments of aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, and the hosting of MEBAA Show, the region’s premier business aviation event in December 2024. The goal of MBRAH is to position Dubai as the world’s aviation capital, aligning with the government’s vision of becoming a global aviation leader.

MBRAH provides high-level connectivity to global aerospace players and serves as a free-zone destination for leading airlines, private jet companies, and associated industries. Situated in Dubai South and developed to cater to the needs of the aviation sector, MBRAH is also home to maintenance centers and training and education campuses, making it a comprehensive hub for all aspects of the aerospace industry. The strategic location of MBRAH and its world-class facilities make it an attractive destination for aviation businesses.

The growth in private jet movements at MBRAH reflects the increasing demand for luxury air travel options in the Middle East. With the region’s status as a global business and tourism hub, there is a growing need for convenient and efficient aviation services. The hub’s dedication to providing state-of-the-art facilities and services to meet the demands of the industry plays a key role in attracting more private jet companies and airlines to operate from Dubai South, further enhancing the region’s position as a top aviation destination.

The government’s support and investment in the aviation sector have been instrumental in the success of MBRAH and Dubai South as a whole. The commitment to developing world-class infrastructure and facilities for the aerospace industry has positioned the region as a leading player in the global aviation market. With the upcoming hosting of the MEBAA Show in Dubai South and the continuous expansion of aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities, the future looks promising for MBRAH and its goal of establishing Dubai as the aviation capital of the world.

In conclusion, the consistent growth in private jet movements at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub is a testament to the hub’s growing reputation as a top aviation destination in the Middle East. With the support of government initiatives, investment in infrastructure, and strategic partnerships, MBRAH is well-positioned to further enhance its offerings and attract more global players in the aerospace industry. As the region prepares for the upcoming MEBAA Show and continues to expand its facilities, the future looks bright for Dubai South and its ambitions to become a global aviation leader.
