The first constituency in Muharraq is currently abuzz with activity as candidates for the upcoming supplementary elections have started their campaigns. Posters and banners have started appearing across the constituency, marking the official start of the election period after the acceptance of the eight candidates. Several candidates are getting ready to open their campaign headquarters soon, as anticipation grows for a fiercely contested election. Community halls in Muharraq have been hosting events for the candidates, where they present their programs and engage in dialogue with residents.

Dr. Ali Al Shuwaikh, chairman of the supervisory committee overseeing the integrity of the supplementary elections in the first constituency of Muharraq, confirmed that no appeals or objections were submitted regarding any of the eight candidates or decisions made by the committee. The final day for submitting appeals was yesterday. The eight candidates who have been accepted include Ebrahim Al Shaikh, Dr. Khawla Al Shamsi, Dr. Nada bin Shams, Saleh Al Sada, former MP Hamad Al Kooheji, Abdulwahed Qarata, Abdulaziz Al Manaei, and Mallah Al Qahtani. The committee posted the list of candidates at the supervisory center in Al Busaiteen Intermediate School for Girls.

The election campaign is expected to be lively and engaging as the candidates vie for the support of the electorate. One of the eight candidates has formally challenged the candidacies of two rivals, claiming that they do not reside in the constituency. This challenge was submitted to the Supervisory Committee just 15 minutes before the center closed on the final day for complaints. Dr. Ali Al Shuwaikh stated that the committee will review the challenge, examining all details and documents provided. It is essential to ensure the integrity and fairness of the election process.

The upcoming supplementary elections in Muharraq’s first constituency are generating significant interest and participation from candidates and residents alike. The candidates are actively engaging with the community, presenting their programs and discussing their vision for the constituency. With a diverse range of candidates vying for office, the election campaign is expected to be competitive and dynamic. The supervisory committee is overseeing the process to ensure transparency and integrity, addressing any appeals or challenges that may arise.

As the election campaign gains momentum, more candidates are expected to open their campaign headquarters and engage with voters across the constituency. The involvement of the community in the election process is crucial, as residents have the opportunity to interact with candidates, ask questions, and make informed decisions about who to support. The election period is a time for dialogue, debate, and ultimately, for the electorate to exercise their democratic right to choose their representatives.

The candidates in the first constituency of Muharraq are working hard to connect with voters, understand their needs, and present their platforms effectively. The diversity of candidates and the passion with which they are approaching the campaign indicate a robust electoral process ahead. The supervisory committee remains vigilant in ensuring that the election is conducted fairly and transparently, addressing any disputes or challenges that may arise. With the support and engagement of the community, the upcoming supplementary elections promise to be a defining moment for the constituency and its residents.
