Ashghal, Qatar’s Public Works Authority, has recently announced a temporary road closure on the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor in Doha. This closure, located at the Bu Hamour area, will impact traffic traveling from Hamad International Airport (HIA) towards the North. Scheduled to take place on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 2am to 10am, the closure aims to facilitate necessary maintenance work on the corridor. Despite the main road closure, signal-controlled intersections and service roads in the vicinity will remain operational under the supervision of the General Directorate of Traffic.

In light of the upcoming road closure, Ashghal advises road users to utilize alternative local and service roads to navigate around the affected area and reach their destinations smoothly. These alternative routes are clearly marked on the provided map, allowing drivers to plan ahead and avoid potential delays during the specified closure hours. By following the designated detours and road signs, motorists can ensure a seamless commute while the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor undergoes essential maintenance work. Additionally, the General Directorate of Traffic will be monitoring traffic flow and providing necessary support to facilitate the movement of vehicles during this temporary inconvenience.

As part of the temporary road closure on the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, Ashghal emphasizes the importance of road safety and adhering to traffic regulations during this period. With the main corridor inaccessible for a limited time, it is crucial for drivers to exercise caution, patience, and vigilance while traveling through alternative routes and service roads. By maintaining a responsible and considerate attitude on the road, motorists can contribute to a safe and efficient traffic environment for themselves and fellow road users. Compliance with speed limits, traffic signals, and lane discipline is essential to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and prevent any potential accidents or disruptions.

The temporary closure of the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor serves as a proactive measure by Ashghal to enhance the infrastructure and road network in Doha, Qatar. By conducting necessary maintenance and repair work during off-peak hours, the Public Works Authority aims to minimize disruptions to daily traffic while ensuring the long-term functionality and safety of the corridor. This strategic approach allows for efficient utilization of resources and effective management of road closures, ultimately benefiting both commuters and residents in the area. With proper planning and coordination, Ashghal continues to uphold its commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure and services to the community.

In conclusion, the temporary road closure on the Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor in Doha, Qatar, represents a focused effort by Ashghal to maintain and improve the city’s transportation infrastructure. By announcing the closure well in advance and providing clear guidance on alternative routes, the Public Works Authority demonstrates its commitment to ensuring minimal inconvenience for road users during necessary maintenance work. As drivers navigate through the affected area during the specified closure hours, adherence to traffic regulations and cooperation with authorities is essential for a safe and efficient commute. Through careful planning and proactive measures, Ashghal upholds its mission of delivering sustainable and high-quality infrastructure projects that enhance the overall quality of life for residents and visitors in Qatar.
