The NVBS Doha Qatar players had a successful outing at the Trivandrum District Badminton Championship 2024 in Kerala, India. With a team of 19 players, 3 coaches, and 4 parents, the players displayed exceptional skills and dedication. Despite the challenges of gathering players from different states in India and obtaining the necessary IDs for participation, the NVBS management made sure that all players were registered for the tournament. The decision to focus on the competitive Trivandrum District in Kerala was made to ensure that the players received the necessary support and coaching to excel in the championship.

Sanjanaa Nakulan, a 12-year-old rising star of NVBS, emerged victorious in the Under 13 girls’ category at the tournament. Her dedication and commitment to honing her skills paid off as she secured the top position. Another promising player, Jonah Joby, also made a mark in the championship by defeating the defending champion in a close match. The NVBS management aims to educate parents about the importance of tournament participation in enhancing a player’s skills and capabilities, urging them to encourage their children to take part in upcoming tournaments to elevate their game.

The NVBS team had several winners and runners-up across different age categories and disciplines at the Trivandrum District Badminton Championship. Players like Adlyn Mary Sojan, Riya Kurian, and Andriya Reetha Sojan showcased their talent and determination by securing top positions in their respective categories. The prizes were distributed by esteemed guests like Mr. V Sunil Kumar, the President of the Kerala Olympics Association, and other dignitaries from the Trivandrum District Badminton State Association.

After their success at the District Championship, the NVBS players are now preparing for upcoming tournaments, including the State Ranking tournament and the All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, the players are continuing their training to improve their skills and compete at higher levels. With the support of the NVBS management, the players are confident of achieving even more success in the future tournaments.
