Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has recently signed an agreement with SAP to upgrade its enterprise resource planning solution to SAP’s latest software – S/4HANA Cloud. This move will help Alba accelerate its digital transformation journey and Industry 4.0 adoption to keep up with changing business needs. A signing ceremony was held at Alba’s premises, attended by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, and Senior Vice President of SAP Middle East Africa – North, Ahmed Jaber Al-Faifi, along with senior officials from both companies.

Ali Al Baqali, the CEO of Alba, stated that this advanced solution is not just about digital transformation, but also a catalyst for Alba to lead in Industry 4.0. By embracing advanced computing and real-time data, Alba aims to optimize its operations and empower all facets of its business to innovate the future of aluminium production in alignment with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. Saquib Ahmad, Managing Director, Bahrain, SAP, added that by streamlining and automating core business functions, Alba will be able to focus on innovating its core business and setting new industry standards.

The new SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a complete and award-winning ERP software designed for the cloud, offering scalable architecture, real-time data processing, integrated advanced analytics, better optimization for speed and performance, and an enhanced user experience for Alba users, customers, and suppliers. Alba’s longstanding partnership with SAP, spanning over 25 years, has been evident in the application of SAP solutions across various core functions of the company, including production, maintenance, sales, procurement, and HR.

With this upgrade to SAP’s latest software, Alba aims to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving business landscape, ensuring that it remains competitive and agile in the aluminium industry. This move towards digital transformation and Industry 4.0 adoption is a strategic decision that will enable Alba to leverage the power of advanced computing, real-time data, and integrated analytics to drive innovation and efficiency across its operations.

By integrating SAP’s S/4HANA Cloud into its operations, Alba is taking a significant step towards enhancing its business processes, improving decision-making capabilities, and driving overall growth and profitability. This modern ERP solution will allow Alba to streamline its core business functions, automate manual processes, and unlock new opportunities for innovation and market leadership in the aluminium production sector.

Overall, the partnership between Alba and SAP is set to pave the way for a new era of digital transformation and Industry 4.0 adoption in the aluminium industry, positioning Alba as a leader in innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. With a strong focus on leveraging advanced technology and real-time data, Alba is poised to revolutionize its operations and drive long-term success in the ever-evolving market landscape.
