The 15th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) is a paradise for children, parents, and anyone who appreciates creativity. With countless interactive activities, from meeting authors to learning computer coding, the festival offers a range of experiences for young minds. Here are five reasons why parents should take their children to SCRF, running until May 12 at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

SCRF is not just a reading festival; it offers a theatrical wonderland with performances by Arab sensation Rasha Rizk and the dynamic Masaka Kids Africana. Additionally, storytelling sessions by renowned playwright Waseem Badami provide an enriching experience for attendees.

The festival also features a world of workshops catering to various interests, including coding, arts, dance, and cookery. Kids can participate in mini fashion shows, furniture making, car making workshops, and more to unleash their creativity.

Books are at the heart of SCRF, with more than 186 publishers contributing to the vast collection available at the festival. Visitors can explore different genres, discover new releases, and enjoy cozy reading nooks for a peaceful escape into the world of stories.

SCRF offers interactive sessions for parents, including workshops on navigating parenthood in the digital age. Experts like Dr. Ahmed Bassiouni and Hamsa Younis will discuss the importance of family counseling and the role of libraries in promoting academic success.

In addition to literary and educational activities, SCRF also offers tasty delights and culinary experiences. Kids can indulge in cookery programs like Dine Sushi Sandwich, Parfait blast, Pizza Muffins, Chinese Tea Workshop, and more, learning from top chefs in the industry.

Overall, SCRF is a haven for children, parents, and anyone who enjoys creativity and youthfulness. For more information about activities and workshop schedules, visit the SCRF website and plan your visit to this exciting festival.
