Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) is set to provide catering services for the upcoming Dubai Airshow 2025, having built two full-scale central kitchens on-site and deployed nearly 2,600 staff members. The operation, which is expected to serve over 35,000 pre-booked meals, will run around the clock during the event.

The scale of the operation is significant, with EKFC coordinating catering for more than 150 chalets, country pavilions, and exhibition stands. The company’s focus on quality and responsiveness is evident in its decision to bring all catering in-house, allowing for direct control over food quality and the ability to respond to last-minute requests.

Catering Operations at Dubai Airshow 2025

EKFC’s catering operations will be supported by its Dubai World Central facility, which has a daily capacity of 150,000 meals. The company’s skilled and experienced team of chefs will provide a diverse range of cuisines, including French, Middle Eastern, Indian, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese dishes, among others.

The two on-site kitchens have been strategically positioned between the main exhibition hall and the chalets, and include cold rooms, dishwashing areas, independent power supplies, and dedicated zones for pastry and cold-kitchen production. All logistics between EKFC’s DWC hub and the Airshow site are fully integrated with airside access and security scanning, ensuring uninterrupted supply throughout the event.

Global Cuisine and Sustainability Efforts

The culinary planning reflects the Airshow’s international audience, with menus ranging from braised beef cheeks in truffle sauce to Emirati tandoori lobster with saffron rice. EKFC has also partnered with UAE and international brands to deliver seven themed food experiences, including Origami, Onda, and Yann Couvreur Pastry & Barista Experience.

In addition to its focus on culinary diversity, EKFC is also prioritizing sustainability. The company has implemented measures such as replacing plastic bottles with glass, implementing recycling systems, and donating leftover food through Dubai Municipality’s food bank. Local sourcing partnerships include Dibba Oysters and Mai Dubai, reinforcing EKFC’s commitment to responsible procurement.

Sustainability Measures

EKFC’s sustainability efforts are part of its broader commitment to reducing waste and promoting environmentally friendly practices. The company’s initiatives are expected to minimize the environmental impact of the catering operations during the Dubai Airshow 2025.

As the Dubai Airshow 2025 approaches, EKFC is poised to deliver a world-class catering experience that showcases the company’s capabilities in event-scale execution and airline-grade precision. With its focus on quality, diversity, and sustainability, EKFC is set to make a positive impression on the international audience attending the event.
