Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant has made statements indicating that Israel may be preparing for a ground offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon. This comes after Israel launched small ground raids and declared three northern communities as closed military zones. The State Department has been informed about these operations, which have focused on Hezbollah infrastructure near the border. The situation in Lebanon has led to over 1,000 deaths, with a significant number being women and children. The United Nations reports that at least 100,000 people have fled Lebanon for Syria since the strikes began.
