Qatar Aspiring Doctors Program (QADP) is a prestigious yearlong program organized by the Office of Student Outreach and Educational Development at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) to prepare high school students for a career in medicine. Thirty-nine students from 24 schools recently completed the program, receiving certificates of completion and honors. The program includes advanced instruction in physical sciences, biology, research skills, and college writing and reading. Participants must be in grades 10, 11, or 12, demonstrate excellence in sciences and mathematics, and be nominated by their high school counselor.
Dr. James Roach, associate dean for pre-medical education at WCM-Q, commended the students for their commitment to academic excellence and personal growth during the program. The curriculum includes monthly face-to-face sessions, hands-on activities, and online self-paced modules.
