External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently visited the UAE for an official visit, where he met with his counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss the partnership between India and UAE and the situation in Gaza. The visit aimed to review the comprehensive strategic partnerships between the two countries and address regional and global developments.

During his visit, Jaishankar also visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on February 14. The temple serves as a symbol of the friendship between India and UAE, promoting cultural exchanges and strengthening ties between the two nations. Jaishankar shared his visit to the temple on social media, calling it a cultural bridge between India and the UAE.

The bilateral relations between India and the UAE have been advancing for many years, marked by cooperation in various fields, deep-rooted historical, cultural, and economic ties. The two countries signed a comprehensive economic partnership agreement in February 2022 to enhance economic engagement. The recent inauguration of the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple further solidified the bond between India and the UAE.

The BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi is the first Hindu temple in the city, symbolizing the growing cultural and religious diversity in the region. Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence for the UAE, Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, also attended the temple’s inauguration, showcasing the mutual respect and understanding between the two nations. The temple serves as a beacon of harmony and unity, fostering goodwill and friendship between India and the UAE.

Jaishankar’s visit to the UAE underscores the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic ties and fostering partnerships with key allies in the region. The discussions between Jaishankar and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan are crucial in addressing shared concerns and exploring opportunities for collaboration in various sectors. The visit highlights the significant role that India plays in the region and its commitment to promoting peace and stability.

Overall, Jaishankar’s visit to the UAE reaffirms the close relationship between India and the UAE, showcasing their shared values and mutual interests. The visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir further enhances cultural exchanges and promotes understanding between the two nations. As both countries continue to strengthen their partnership, they are poised to achieve greater cooperation and make meaningful contributions to regional and global development.
