The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MoSDF) in Doha, Qatar, recently organized a summer event called Asdaf 2024 for children aged 5 to 12. This event, which began on June 25th and will run until August, aims to enhance children’s motor, mental, and social skills through various activities. By providing innovative and fun concepts in fields such as science, arts, and sports, the MoSDF hopes to encourage children to interact with their peers during the summer break, instilling values of cooperation and teamwork while offering an enjoyable and educational way to spend their vacation.

One of the key goals of Asdaf 2024 is to strike a balance between learning and play, ultimately contributing to the comprehensive development of children. The event includes five training workshops with the participation of owners of productive projects, such as the kitchen project “Jadar and Malas” by an entrepreneur who began her venture in 2016 out of a love for cooking. She emphasizes the importance of seeking proper consultation, patience, firmness, self-confidence, and preplanning when starting a new project. By avoiding unnecessary criticism and staying positive, entrepreneurs can overcome challenges and move forward with their endeavors.

The workshops at Asdaf 2024 cover a range of activities aimed at engaging children and fostering their creativity. Some of the workshops included are “Colour Our Planet,” “Play with Us,” “Mirrors, Sweets Arrangements,” “Frame,” and “Ice Cream Making.” These workshops are led by a trainer and owner of a productive project from Al Watan called ‘Khazaf Noon,’ further integrating local talent into the event and providing children with hands-on experiences in various fields.

Through their involvement in events like Asdaf 2024, the MoSDF aims to empower national productive projects, provide support to local entrepreneurs, and engage them in different activities throughout the country. The owner of the “Jadar and Malas” kitchen project highlights the importance of perseverance and positivity in overcoming obstacles when starting a new venture, emphasizing the need for proper planning and self-confidence. By creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurs, the MoSDF hopes to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in Qatar.

As children participate in the various workshops and activities at Asdaf 2024, they are not only engaging in fun and educational experiences but also developing important social skills and values. By interacting with their peers, children learn the importance of cooperation and teamwork, skills that are essential for success in both their personal and professional lives. The event provides a platform for children to explore new interests, learn new skills, and have a memorable and enriching summer vacation that combines play and learning in a meaningful way.

In conclusion, events like Asdaf 2024 organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family in Qatar play a crucial role in promoting the holistic development of children and supporting local entrepreneurs. By providing children with a mix of educational and entertaining activities, the event helps children build essential skills and values while having fun during their summer break. Through the participation of owners of productive projects, children are exposed to real-world examples of entrepreneurship, inspiring them to pursue their passions and dreams. Overall, Asdaf 2024 serves as a valuable platform for both children and entrepreneurs, fostering creativity, innovation, and collaboration in the community.
