Team Qatar makes their debut at the FIA Motorsport Games with high expectations

The Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Lusail International Circuit (LIC) announced that Team Qatar will be making its debut at the FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, Spain. The team is set to compete across five categories with a seven-driver squad from October 23 to 27. This event is known as the “Olympics of Motorsport” and Qatar’s participation marks a significant moment for the country’s motorsport scene.

The team consists of talented drivers from various disciplines including F4, Rally, GT, Karting, and Esports. With the goal of making Qatar proud on the global stage, the drivers have undergone extensive preparations, including races, testing sessions, and a training camp in Europe. Their commitment and dedication to the sport have been praised, and they are eager to showcase their skills and represent Qatar at the prestigious competition.

The FIA Motorsport Games 2024 will feature over 1,000 athletes from more than 100 countries competing in 26 different categories. This event will be the biggest-ever edition, encompassing a wide range of motorsport disciplines from Circuit Racing to Electric Street, Auto Slalom, Karting, Esports, Off-road, and Rally. Qatar’s participation in the Games reflects the country’s focus on nurturing young talent in the motorsport industry.

The drivers from Team Qatar are prepared and ready to take on the challenge in Valencia. The team is determined to compete at the highest level, strive for victory, and make their country proud. With the support of QMMF and LIC, the drivers are confident in their abilities to deliver strong performances and inspire a new generation of Qatari motorsport enthusiasts. The competitions at the FIA Motorsport Games will be held at Generalitat Valenciana and Circuit Ricardo Tormo, providing a platform for the drivers to showcase their skills on an international stage.

The CEO of LIC, Amro Al Hamad, emphasized the unity among the drivers despite their diverse backgrounds in motorsport and their shared goal of bringing pride to Qatar. He expressed confidence in the team’s preparedness for the Games and highlighted their unwavering commitment to success. The drivers, including the youngest member Saif Al Obaidli, are optimistic about their chances and eager to take on the new challenge.

Overall, Team Qatar’s debut at the FIA Motorsport Games represents a significant milestone for the country’s motorsport industry and demonstrates the dedication and skill of the drivers.
