Electrolyte, a two-year-old colt trained by Archie Watson, claimed his first Group victory at Chantilly in the Gr.3 Prix Eclipse. Sporting the colors of Wathnan Racing, Electrolyte showed great determination as he led the field on the near side and held off a late challenge from Polyvega to win by a narrow margin. The well-fancied Fraise Des Bois finished in third place. Bred by Bibury Partnership, Electrolyte is out of the mare Bibury, sired by Royal Applause.

The victory at Chantilly marked a significant milestone for Electrolyte, confirming the high expectations that had been placed on the young colt. Trained by Archie Watson in Lambourn, Electrolyte demonstrated his potential as a top-class performer by winning his first Group race. The win also showcased Electrolyte’s speed, determination, and ability to hold off strong competition, making him a promising contender for future races.

In a strong-paced race at Chantilly, Electrolyte’s performance was impressive as he led the field on the near side and maintained his position despite facing a late challenge from Polyvega. With just 400 meters to go, Electrolyte went a few lengths clear and showed great determination to hold on to his lead, ultimately winning by a nose. The thrilling finish highlighted Electrolyte’s competitive spirit and racing prowess, solidifying his reputation as a rising star in the world of horse racing.

The Gr.3 Prix Eclipse victory at Chantilly was a testament to Electrolyte’s talent and potential in the world of horse racing.
