According to data, UK, Australian, and South African expats living in the Gulf are among the top Rugby viewers on TOD.

The highly anticipated Qatar Airways Lions Men’s Tour to Australia 2025 is now underway and streaming live on TOD, the leading sports and entertainment streaming platform in the MENA region. The tour kicked off with a 54–7 victory over Western Force, followed by another strong win against the Queensland Reds, 52–12.

Under the leadership of esteemed head coach Andy Farrell, the Lions squad brings together top talent from across the UK and Ireland, featuring 15 players from Ireland, 13 from England, 8 from Scotland, and 2 from Wales. Following their first two wins, the Lions will take on the NSW Waratahs on Saturday, July 5.

TOD continued investment in Rugby coverage reflects the rising interest in the sport across the MENA region, particularly among expat communities. Rugby viewership has grown steadily across the Gulf, positioning TOD as the go-to platform for comprehensive, high-quality coverage.

John-Paul McKerlie, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at TOD, expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour “We have seen a significant rise in Rugby engagement over the past few seasons, especially from UK, Australian, and South African expats. Our mission has always been to deliver the sports our audiences care about most, and with Rugby gaining momentum in the Gulf, we are proud to be the go-to platform for world-class coverage.”

The British & Irish Lions Tour is one of Rugby’s most iconic events. Held every four years, it unites the best players from the UK and Ireland to face the world’s leading Rugby nations. Known for its intense rivalries, passionate fan base, and historic significance, the 2025 tour is expected to be one of the most-watched Rugby events globally.

TOD will offer live and on-demand coverage of every match, ensuring that Rugby fans across the MENA region won’t miss a moment of the action
