The Qatar Arc Trials for the prestigious Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe took place at the ParisLongchamp racecourse in Paris and were sponsored by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club. The event featured nine races, including six major group races, all bearing the name of Qatar. One of the highlights of the event was CH’EZZA winning the Gr1 PA Qatar Cup – Prix Dragon under the guidance of trainer Francois Rohaut and jockey Maxime Guyon. Owned by Abdulla bin Fahad Al Attiyah, the victory was a prestigious one for the team. Another standout performer was BLUESTOCKING, a four-year-old filly who claimed her second Gr.1 success by winning the Gr.1 Qatar Prix Vermeille. Trained by Ralph Beckett and ridden by Rossa Ryan, the filly showcased her talent and determination.
The seven-year-old IRESINE also made a mark by winning the Gr.2 Qatar Prix Foy at ParisLongchamp. The dual Gr.1 winner, owned by Bertrand Milliere and trained by Jean-Pierre Gauvin, was ridden to success by the talented female jockey Marie Velon. Additionally, the three-year-old colt Sosie claimed victory in the Gr.2 Qatar Prix Niel, scoring his second Group success in his career. Owned by Wertheimer & Frere and trained by Andre Fabre, Sosie was given an excellent ride by jockey Maxime Guyon.
In the Group 3 Qatar Prix du Pin race, Topgear emerged victorious, showcasing its speed and skill on the track. The nine-year-old PRADARO secured his second Group victory by winning the Gr.3 Qatar Prix du Petit Couvert. Trained by Sofie Lanslots and ridden by Aurelien Lemaitre, the gelding displayed a stunning performance, demonstrating his best on the day.
