Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) players recently participated in a training session at the Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar, as they gear up for a crucial match against AS Monaco in the Trophee des Champions. The team, which has secured the title 12 times, is eager to kick off the New Year with a victory and continue their impressive run in Ligue 1. However, their performance in the UEFA Champions League has been lackluster, and they are looking to improve their standing in the competition. Coach Luis Enrique remains focused on winning every available trophy and is optimistic about the team’s chances.

Enrique expressed confidence in PSG’s performance in the Champions League, highlighting the team’s progress and determination to keep pushing forward. With upcoming matches against Manchester City and Stuttgart, PSG will need to deliver strong performances to secure their spot in the competition. The team remains motivated and well-prepared for the challenges ahead, with Enrique emphasizing the importance of performing at a high level in the final against AS Monaco.

The coach confirmed that goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has recovered from a face injury and is fit to play in the upcoming match. With all three goalkeepers available, Enrique has options to choose from and is confident in their abilities. PSG players are enjoying their time in Qatar, with Enrique noting the positive atmosphere and memories from past experiences in the country. Defender Marquinhos echoed the sentiment, highlighting the team’s positive experience in Doha and emphasizing the importance of the upcoming final in setting the tone for the rest of the season.

AS Monaco coach Adi Huetter is optimistic about his team’s chances in the final, despite a previous defeat to PSG in Ligue 1. Huetter emphasized the importance of luck and strengths on both sides, expressing confidence in his players’ abilities. Japanese midfielder Takumi Minamino and midfielder Denis Zakaria are key players for Monaco, with a strong defensive performance seen as crucial in upsetting PSG and claiming the trophy. The team is determined to analyze and improve on past mistakes to secure a victory and make a statement in the final.
