Men’s and women’s finals set up Spain and Argentina showdown in Doha at World Padel Championships

Argentina and Spain are set to face off in the finals of the FIP World Padel Championships in Doha. The men’s reigning champions, Argentina, secured their spot in the final by defeating Portugal in the semi-finals. Franco Stupaczuk and Martin Di Nenno led the team to victory with a thrilling 2-0 win, followed by Agustin Tapia and Fede Chingotto’s dominant performance. On the other side, Spain emerged victorious against Italy with strong performances from Juan Lebron and Arturo Coello, Ale Galan and Jon Sanz, and Coki Nieto and Mike Yanguas.

In the women’s semi-finals, Argentina also secured their place in the finals by defeating Italy 2-0. Aranzazu Osoro and Julieta Bidahorria took the lead with a win over Giulia Sussarello and Chiara Pappacenna, while Delfina Brea and Claudia Jensen sealed the deal with a victory against Carolina Orsi and Giorgia Marchetti. Spain’s Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez and Ale Salazar and Bea Gonzalez also had impressive wins in the semi-finals.

The FIP World Padel Championships finals will see Argentina and Spain battling it out for the title in both the men’s and women’s categories.
