Hazaa Al Shahania wins an exciting match to capture the End Of Year Cup

The End Of Year Cup at Al Uqda Racecourse in Doha, Qatar, featured an exciting day of horse racing action, with Hazaa Al Shahania emerging as the champion in the Local Purebred Arabian Graduation Plate. Ridden by Marco Casamento, the four-year-old gelding put on a thrilling performance to edge out Galeb Al Shahania and claim victory in the 1300m race. This win marked Hazaa Al Shahania’s second triumph in just three career starts, under the training of Mohammed Ghazali.

In addition to Hazaa Al Shahania’s victory, jockey Marco Casamento had a stellar day, completing a remarkable treble. He first guided Heater to victory in the Thoroughbred Handicap (50-70) (Div. 1) and then partnered with Jassim Ghazali to secure a win with Elliptical in the Thoroughbred Handicap (60-80). Another standout performance of the day came from Al Nati, trained by Mohd Ahmed Mohd Hasan Al Sulaiti, who dominated the 2200m Purebred Arabian Handicap (65-85) race under jockey Fayos Martin Borja.

The action-packed day featured a total of eight races, with notable wins by Ghayat Al Matloub in the Purebred Arabian Handicap (45-65), Za’eel Al Shahania in the Local Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate, and Azraq in the Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate. Additionally, Tomorrownevercomes, trained by Rashid Mohammed Alathba, sealed a commanding victory in the Thoroughbred Handicap (50-70) (Div. 2) with jockey Maikon De Souza.

The End Of Year Cup Day saw a mix of seasoned champions and rising stars in the world of horse racing, with each race showcasing the skill and talent of both the horses and jockeys. The event concluded another thrilling year of horse racing in Qatar and set the stage for an exciting year ahead in the sport. The winners were recognized and celebrated at the presentation ceremony, highlighting their achievements and contributions to the day’s success.

Overall, the End Of Year Cup at Al Uqda Racecourse was a thrilling and memorable event for horse racing enthusiasts and fans in Qatar. The competitive races, standout performances, and impressive victories made for an exhilarating day of action at the racecourse.
