Emirati Sisters Set to Defend Gold Medal at 2024 IMMAF Youth World Championships

Emirati athletes Zamzam Al Hammadi and her younger sister Ghala Al Hammadi are aiming high in their MMA and Jiu-Jitsu careers, with a goal to become the best athletes in the business and make the UAE proud. Supported by their mother, who is also an athlete, the sisters have been winning medals in both combat sports and are now gearing up to defend their gold medal at the 2024 IMMAF Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi.

With a rigorous training schedule of 8 to 10 hours a day, the Al Hammadi sisters are leaving no stone unturned in preparation for the mixed martial arts competition, which is set to be the biggest ever with about 850 athletes from 45 countries. The sisters are training at a closed camp, focusing on MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, and cardio, with a strict schedule to ensure they are at their best for the upcoming championship.

The sisters expressed their excitement for the opportunity to compete at such a prestigious event, emphasizing the importance of defending their titles and striving to be the best in the world of mixed martial arts. With a history of first-place finishes in various tournaments, the Al Hammadi sisters are determined to bring home the gold medal and make their country proud at the IMMAF Youth World Championships.

Their supportive mother, Nada Al Nuaimi, who is also an athlete, plays a crucial role in their training both at home and at the camp. Encouraging them to go the extra mile and strive for excellence, she instills a strong work ethic in her daughters, aiming to see them succeed and bring honor to their country and their family.

Despite their intense training schedule, the sisters have managed to maintain a balance between their sports and studies, with both achieving high grades in their academic pursuits. As they look forward to the new academic year, Zamzam will be entering Grade 12, while Ghala will be in Grade 10, showcasing their dedication to both their education and their athletic careers. As they continue to prepare for the upcoming championship, the Al Hammadi sisters are determined to make a mark in the world of MMA and Jiu-Jitsu and achieve their dreams of becoming the best in the business.
