Emirati junior golfer Ananyaa Sood targets success at US Kids World Teen Championship

An Indian-born Dubai resident, Ananyaa Sood, is making waves in the world of golf with her recent success in the US Kids European Championship in Scotland. She emerged victorious in the 13-year-old Division with an impressive 54-hole total of 217, finishing one over par and securing a six-shot victory. She will now be taking part in the US Kids World Teen Championship at Pinehurst CC in the US in July.

Ananyaa, who is currently studying online at the United States Performance Academy and is a member of The Els Club in Dubai, is coached by Sujjan Singh at the Claude Harmon CH3. Her summer schedule includes competing in various international championships, with the US Kids World Teen Championship being the highlight of her upcoming events. She will be playing in the Girls 13-year-old Division and currently holds a +1.6 handicap.

The US Kids World Championships, held in historic Pinehurst, North Carolina, are considered premier junior events in world golf, attracting over 2,300 players from more than 50 countries. U.S. Kids Local Tours, which allow players at all levels to participate in tournaments and learn while making new friends, operate in more than 115 locations worldwide, including the UAE. Other UAE junior golfers, including Poyraz Kocagozoglu, Zayn Maktari, Aarya Ganguly, Ela Camurlu, Alexander Rushika, Thomas Buchard, and Lara Bakhou, have also qualified to compete in the US this summer.

Ananyaa’s schedule for the summer includes participating in various championships such as the FCG International Championship, IMG Academy World Championship, FCG Callaway World Championship, US Kids World Teen Championship, AJGA Babygrande Stanford Junior All Star, and The Spin Junior All Star. With her recent success and dedication to the sport, Ananyaa is poised to make a mark in the international golfing circuit and showcase her talent on a global stage. Her participation in prestigious events like the US Kids World Teen Championship will further solidify her position as a rising star in the world of junior golf.

As Ananyaa gears up to compete in the US Kids World Teen Championship at Pinehurst CC, she looks forward to building on her previous achievements and making a strong impression in the international golfing arena. Her dedication to the sport, combined with her talent and hard work, has already brought her success in the US Kids European Championship, and she aims to continue her winning streak in upcoming tournaments.
